Water Softener and Filtration Systems

Have you ever considered installing a water softener system in your home? Do you think you might be shocked to find out how much you spend on bottled water for you and your family? Or maybe you’re concerned about how good your water actually is; or how healthy it really is for your crew to use it for normal life things like showers, normal hygiene, washing clothes or dishes, and more.

Sometimes a full home water softener and filtration system is the answer to these problems. At PLMBRS.com, our experts are not only experts in plumbing, but they can also advise you on the options available for water softening and filtering, install it, and teach you how to use it on a daily basis.

The softening and filtering systems we offer our customers not only make your water more palatable to drink, but they also make it safer, healthier, and overall better for the health and well-being of your family.

Benefits of Water Softeners and Filtration

You probably realize that an investment in a whole home water softener and filtration system would not be a low cost. However, it would be a great investment, considering what you get for your money.

Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to drink water from a water softener?

There are no safety concerns when it comes to drinking water from a water softener. A normal 250ml glass of water from a water softener only contains about 1% of your daily requirement of sodium, so it is inconsequential with regards to your safety.

What happens if I don’t put salt in my water softener?

If you forget to add salt to your water softener, the resin bed will get flushed, but the beads won’t be recharged. Which means it won’t be working, and your water will not get softened. If you notice that you can’t get a good lather when taking a shower, you may have forgotten to add your salt when you should have.

What are the disadvantages of soft water?

The harder your water is, the more softener or salt will have to be added to get it soft enough, which means more sodium in your drinking water. A high level of sodium can be considered unhealthy, depending on how high it is, as well as give your water an unpleasant or salty taste. Make sure you spend time with an expert before you decide to put in a water softening system.
